The focus is on practical training. We train obedience, learning to walk in a relaxed manner, learning to pass other dogs and other stimuli, not jumping up, not eating from the street, self-control exercises such as sit & stay, down & stay, coming when called from various situations, and much more.

During the lessons, we also discuss what to expect during this period, what to look out for, and naturally, we answer any questions you may encounter. This course also includes the option to attend the Body Language theory lesson (1.5 hours), in which we delve into the signals your puppy gives. What do those signals mean, and how should you respond to them?

This lesson is held on specific dates and times at our location (DogTalk), where we discuss body signals using videos of real-life examples. It is an interactive lesson, a very important theory session, in which a lot of information is shared with you. You will learn to understand your puppy better, as well as other dogs, enabling you to better manage many situations and prevent (biting) incidents. Whether you have a puppy or an older dog, large or small, the dog must know your house rules and rules of conduct. These rules differ in every household. It makes a difference whether you are alone or together. Whether there are children present and of what age. And, of course, no two dogs are the same. At DogTalk, we tailor our training and (behavioral) guidance to these factors. In short, it is custom work.

You can come to us with any dog, regardless of age or breed. And with the most diverse problems and challenges.

In every stage of development, we focus on teaching basic skills and applying them in practice. We practice situations you might encounter daily. At the same time, you get to know your dog really well. And vice versa.

If you prefer to train in a group, that is possible. We always work in small groups to give everyone individual attention. That is one of our specialties. But perhaps you prefer private guidance. We are happy to come to your home or your home environment. We often walk alongside the dog and owner/family for an extended period. After all, your dog’s development never stands still.
